Islamabad�s Quaid-i-Azam University is ranked 119th among top Asian universities while University of Agriculture Faisalabad makes it to 150 top agriculture universities� according to QS rankings 2013.Investment in higher education continues to reap dividends as seven Pakistani Universities are among Top Asian and three in Top World Universities.According to Quacquarelli Symonds UK World Universities Rankings 2013: Seven Universities of Pakistan have won its place in the list of top 250 Asian Universities and 3 Pakistani universities are now among the Top 200 World universities in agriculture and forestry. Quacquarelli Symonds UK is the world�s most renowned and prestigious ranking agency. According to its ranking for 2013�

are now in top 250 Asian Universities. 

Three Pakistani universities: 

University of Agriculture Faisalabad�

Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad 

are now among the Top 200 World universities in the disciplines of agriculture and forestry. Commenting on this international recognition of Pakistani higher education sector� Chairperson Higher Education Commission Dr. Javaid Laghari said that during last year� six Pakistani universities were among top 300 Asian universities. This year seven are in top 250. This is a proof that the quality of universities in the last three years has significantly improved and Pakistan has now become a world player in higher education sector� he said. HEC has proved itself a role model federal organization which empowers equal and full participation of all universities and provinces to facilitate higher education for the socio-economic development of Pakistan� he added.
